Clarification Regarding Student Eligibility for the September 2026 Comprehensive Examinations
In response to requests received from universities and in consideration of the challenges faced by students under the current national circumstances, Clause 3 of the previous directive has been revised.Accordingly, all students who were eligible to take the Comprehensive Examinations scheduled for March 2026 and who were conditionally allowed to proceed to the next stage of their academic program may also benefit from the previously announced minimum GPA threshold policy.Furthermore, due to the postponement of certain university examinations under the current circumstances, the Comprehensive Basic Medical Sciences Examination, the Comprehensive Basic Dental Sciences Examination, and the Pre-Internship Examination have been rescheduled to October 24, 2026 (2 Mehr 1405).Medical students who have conditionally begun their clinical clerkship (externship) rotation will be permitted to continue their training until the official announcement of the results of the October 2026 Pre-Internship Examination. If a student fails the examination, they must suspend continuation of the clerkship/internship stage until they successfully pass the next examination.
